The 2026 Western Open at the Detroit Racquet Club was one of the club's finest. Traditionally, the Western Open had been a staple of the mid-west, hosted at either the Racquet Club of Chicago or the Detroit Racquet Club. In more recent years, the Western Open has become part of the wider tournament rotation, with stops in Boston, Philadelphia and New York over the last decade.
